Computer und Café provides freely readable guides. Contact info@computerundcafe.de with technical or privacy questions.
When you request a page, the hosting infrastructure processes connection information, including your IP address and technical request details, to deliver it. Whether the hosting provider keeps access logs, and for how long, depends on its configuration. We do not state an unverified retention period here.
Search and language
Article search runs in your browser. The search function does not send your search terms to a search server. This website code does not include advertising or analytics trackers.
Your manual language choice is stored in your browser as a local entry and a cookie called cuc_language, which lasts for up to one year. Both are used only to remember your chosen language. You can remove them in your browser settings.
When hosting with country detection enabled, the server uses the approximate IP region supplied by its hosting network to choose the initial language. The website code does not build a visitor profile from that information. An unknown location defaults to English. A manual language choice takes priority.
Email and other websites
An email link opens your email application. If you write to us, we receive your sender address and message to handle your enquiry. Include only information needed for that purpose.
Images, stylesheets and scripts are served with this website. External sources load only when you follow their links; their own privacy information applies after you leave this site.
